Strengthening Communities By Strengthening Women
This Programme endeavours to promote the all round development of women and girls in the most underprivileged and marginalized sections of society.
We have selected two major slums in Pune where there is great potential to encourage and equip women with planned behavioral change strategies to positively influence the affairs of their communities.
The activities undertaken by our Social Workers and the Social Concerns committee members are as follows : -

> Bachat Gat or Micro Credit, Savings Scheme for Women
> Family Life Education for Girls
> Health Care Clinic
> Tuitions for School Children
> Regular Eye Camp
> Kishori Bal Club (Bal Panchayat) for the Girl Child
Nurturing Nature and
Preservation Environment
Projects in tree plantations, plastic management etc. are conducted in Schools and Communities.

Building Young People
Ongoing Sessions are held at St. Andrews School, St. Hilda's School and Epipheny School.
Session topics include Stress Management, Team Building, Good and Bad touch, Motivational training, Career Guidance, Personality Development, Self Defense, Adolescent Health, Best out of waste, etc.

A) Sustainable Project :
Plastic Management training - Community and school level awareness and training on plastic management.
B) Empower Women :
1] Tailoring Classes and Spoken English classes along with Beauty Parlour training at Bhim Nagar, Community Hall, 330, Mangalwar Peth, Bhim Nagar, Pune. Population more than fifty thousand.
Empowering women in financial independence and supporting families at lndira Nagar, Annabhau Sathe Hall, Near Shri Datta Mandir, Yerwada Pune —411006,
Population — 30,000.
2) One more unit of Tailoring class and Beauty Parlour training is being added at Vishrantwadi, Police Vasahat.
C) Listening Corner Service (Counselling) in collaboration with Pune police
D) Accommodation at the Hostel dormitory for 10 girls from Manipur is proposed, helping them come out of trauma, by our counselling team members.
